 Briefing

 

If there is a vacancy 'brief' we will discuss details on: company background and culture, vacancy detail, ideal candidate and key competencies, skills and experience required, attraction/advertising strategy, and proposed assessment. 

 1 hour

 

 

(will be free of charge if the Centre provides another recruitment service)

 

 Development of the advertisement.

 

Advertising media are researched (online, print, industry and vacancy-type specific) and recommended. 

Advertising copy is prepared to client satisfaction and recommendations are made on advertisement size layout. 

If graphic design work is required to create new advertising templates as part of your branding, this can be organized by the Centre.

 2 hours

 Co-ordinate advert posting

Approved advertisements are placed.

(print, online, etc).

 1 hour

 Development or update of the Position Description (PD) or the Work Plan.

Where the role is a new position we can assist with helping you to draft the PD or work plan.

Where the position is a current role we can assist with ensuring it is in line with the remuneration and Awards. 

We also assist you to ensure that specific requirements or qualifications are clearly stated.

Timeframe varies depending on the complexity of the Position Description or Work Plan

 

  

  

  

 Organising interviews

Co-ordinate 1st stage interviews

Applicants are scheduled for interview.  Non-local applicants are invited to attend a telephone interview.

 

Interview long-list (5 max)

Typically the employer does not attend this stage of interviews.  Applicants are interviewed around general and specific material. 

Specific includes behavioural-based questions around agreed key competencies. 

Unsuccessful candidates are notified and feedback provided if requested.

 

Prepare shortlist (3 max) 
The client received a 1-2 page report on each shortlisted candidate. 

The client decides who to progress to the next stage of interviews/assessment (client-end interview). 

Attendance on an interview panel is available if requested; additional time and charged hourly.

 Interview panel

We are able to be part of the panel if required and can organize the venue and interview options.

We are able to take the interview notes and write a report for final sign-off by the relevant Manager or Board.

 Reference & pre-employment checks

Referees are contacted for a verbal reference

(if this is not possible the reference is completed via email). 

Each candidate is reference checked on common areas to enable a comparative assessment, and around areas identified at interview that are of interest. 

The client receives a written review of each reference.

 Exit interviews

It is important to understand why employees leave your business however they may not want to discuss this with the employer.

We are able to undertake the exit interviews for you and provide you with relevant feedback.

 1 hour

(per candidate)

 Employee Induction

We are able to assist you with the induction of your new employee/s to ensure that they have all their employment documents and understand Awards, policies and OHS requirements prior to commencement.

 1 - 2 hours

(this can be provided per candidate or per group)

 Additional administration

This could involve psych assessment (through a third party), additional interviews and/or assessment (i.e. practical assessments, health and/or police screening), assessment design and delivery (i.e. assessment Centres), and general administration not within that expected for a normal recruitment exercise (i.e. high volume response, specific candidate management).
