Chief Executive Officer
· Autonomous role to establish a new Tourism organisation in southern Tasmania
· Flexible work hours
· $90 - $105 + Super (work vehicle, laptop & phone supplied)
Destination Southern Tasmania (DST) is looking for a dynamic CEO to build their new membership-based organisation and represent the tourism industry in southern Tasmania.
The key to this position is the ability to develop strong networks within theindustry, all levels of government and other relevant stakeholders.
To move the organisation forward you must be outcome focussed and articulate with the capacity to understand regional marketing, identify priorities and deliver programs to local government and industry partners.
This position will require substantial travel within the region, with occasional travel to other regions and interstate. Therefore a current drivers licence is essential.
You will be required to demonstrate that you have the following capabilities:
· An extensive background (at least 5 years) in the tourism, marketing, promotions or similar industry
· Ability to network effectively, build membership and develop industry activities
· Knowledge of business management and marketing programs
· Experience in delivering financial management requirements.
Previous experience managing grant funding and working with a Board or equivalent management structure would be an advantage.
As CEO, you will be given the authority to manage all elements including Membership, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, OHS, Community Consultation and development of DST strategies.
This position is offered as a one-year contract with the right person having the ability to extend their appointment.
